Beginnings

Improve Your Social Skills launches today.

It's been a long road. I began the guide on February 24, 2011. Nearly one year later, I finally get to share it with you.

Improve Your Social Skills has more than 28,000 words across more than 50 pages. If it were a printed book it would be over 100 pages long. It's the product of a year of work and a decade of study, and now it's available to help people around their world improve their social skills and build the fulfilling, meaningful relationships that they deserve.

28,000 words later, I finally find myself at a loss for words. I can't begin to say how excited I am. So instead, I'll share my current wallpaper with you. It has been an encouragement to me as I wrote the guide, and perhaps it will encourage you as you begin your journey of social skills success.

Start something today, my friends.

  1. Thanks. I was recently slapped in the face with how much I don’t fit socially.

I bookmarked your site and will hopefully will make my way through all of it.

By the way, the three textboxes on the comment field don’t have labels (author, email and url).

    1. Hi James,
I’m sorry to hear that you feel like you don’t fit in socially. Remember that there’s nothing wrong inherently wrong with you– you are totally capable of having awesome, fulfilling relationships, and you deserve good friendships. If your social skills need work, that’s ok–because you can work on them. Don’t give up on fitting in or on people accepting you for you. It will get better 🙂

Anyhow, I’m glad to hear you’ve found my site to be helpful 🙂 Please let me know your thoughts once you’ve had the time to read through it.

Also, thanks for catching the comment field error. It turns out I had made an error when I updated to the latest version of my WordPress theme. A quick theme reinstall fixed the problem. I appreciate you taking the time to point it out.

  2. I printed off all the free stuff, as an educator we need free things. I have a student who is high end Aspergers and I needed to do soical skills with him three days a week. Your guide is helpful, and I will try to instill some of your guidelines. I liked your guide because it was simple to teach comfort and discomfort in a way an 8th grader may do his homework by watching TV. Thanks for that!

    1. Awesome! I’m glad to hear that my site was helpful for you 🙂 Please let me know how your student with Asperger’s responds to the guide.
